about the “Kaffeeklatsch”:
With our “Kaffeeklatsch” we regularly organize a casual meeting for young queer people from Karlsruhe.
We meet in the group room on the third floor of the Z10. Regardless of whether you are a student or not, you are all welcome to come and chat with us or play board games. Sometimes we plan specials like an “Ice-Kaffeeklatsch” in August or a pumpkin carving in October. Snacks will be provided, but if you like you can also bring some of your own as well.
about the queerbeats party:
With our very own party brand we’d like to bring some more queerness 💅🏻 to the uni campus. To achieve that we’re going to place in there as many LGBTQIA* flags 🏳️🌈 at the AKK bar as we can get and party with music 🎶 selected by our own DJ, UV-lights, lots of drinks 🍹 and that remarkable familial atmosphere, which you can only find at this kind of queer event.
There is no entry fee, and everyone is welcome to join the party.
about the choir:
In 2010, a group of singing enthusiasts from the Karlsruhe university group Queerbeet founded the first mixed queer choir in Karlsruhe. In the Queerbeet choir, the focus is on having fun singing a cappella together. Everyone can join us: men, women or diverse; gay, straight or otherwise queer, professional, beginner or anything in between, students, already “grown ups” or youngsters at heart. The choir’s repertoire is just as colorful: in addition to hits by Queen, P!nk and David Guetta, the program also includes pieces by well-known german a cappella groups such as the Wise Guys or Maybebop.
In case you want to attend in choir rehearsal, please send a mail to email@example.com so we can inform you about any last minute changes. We’re practicing about every two weeks on Sunday at 6 pm at La Vie and are always happy to welcome new singers. Please take a quick COVID-test before the rehearsal on the same day and only come if the test result is negative. Please bring a photo of your test result.
